Classroom Tweets

I LOVED this idea so much that I wanted to find a way to start it in my classroom.  This summer I found The Starr Spangled Planner: Jillian Starr

This is her AH-mazing IHELP poster that I use for my classroom jobs!  I was SO excited to find the twitter app included.
I adapted a couple of the jobs to fit the  needs of my classroom but the
Tweet of the Week

stayed and is adored in my classroom.

Each week one student is assigned the job of “tweeter”.  They use their mental imaging, creative genius, and schema to find the BEST thing about our week and tweet about it inside our doorway.  So cute!
I keep track of the week (we are currently on week 9 of kindergarten) and I have the student sign their name.
I have had many parents and educators walk through the doorway and stop to see what we are up to in our kindergarten room.
I keep track of who has tweeted and who hasn't so that at the end of the year every student can take it home and add it to their Writing Portfolios!
If you want to start it up hop over to my TPT shop and pick it up for free!

Until next time lovies.
